Social Security Scheme

Diocese of Kalyan

Our Patron

St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, is the Patron Saint of the Social Security Scheme. He was the preserver and protector of Jesus in this world. The charism that St. Joseph had in being as a father to Jesus, with the responsibility of supporting and caring Infant Jesus and Mother Mary is been assumed by this Scheme through the monetary help rendered to the grieving family on the parting of the dear ones towards our Lord. This help extended through the Social Security Scheme has been very timely for the families for meeting the needs at the moment of funeral and finding solace till the things get proper in the family after the loss of its dear ones. By entering and becoming a member in this scheme, we take part in the noble responsibility of supporting and caring for its members and its family as a whole. Through this cause the realization of the phrase in the prayer of Jesus himself in John 10:16 comes true; “... so there will be one flock and one shepherd.”

In the vision of the founder, late Mar Paul Chitillappilly, the first Bishop of the Diocese of Kalyan and the blessings of our Patron St. Joseph, may the endeavours of the Social Security Scheme help us grow in the realization of one flock by rendering our support and care for each other.

Prayer

St. Joseph, the Just, as you were praised by the Holy Ghost, Himself, as been chosen by God to be the foster-father of Jesus and the spouse of the Virgin Mother and thus be the head of the Holy Family on earth, we pray to intercede for the families. You were a tireless worker; an upright guardian of those entrusted to your care. Here we are, the God’s family in the Diocese of Kalyan, the members of the Mystical Body of Christ, extending our arms, to pray, to intercede for us to guard, protect and enlighten our families. Keep us from all snares that hover over our lives. Bless the endeavours of the Diocese of Kalyan through the Social Security Scheme of supporting the loved ones of the bereaved. Thereby, become one family, the chosen flock of the Good Shepherd. All glory and honor to You, Trine God, through the humble works of Kalyan Diocese Social Security Scheme; the works of mercy, love and care to our fellow brethren and the intercession of St. Joseph Amen
